KMC fixes Rs 4.8bn

income target for

current year

KARACHI: The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation has fixed Rs 4883.99 million target for its income for the current year.

According to KMC sources, the expenditure for the current years has been fixed as Rs 4882.50 million.

The KMC, the sources said would generate maximum revenue from octroi which is fixed as Rs 3387.13 million followed by Property Tax Rs 335.88 million, Betterment Tax Rs 37.26 million. Conservancy Tax Rs 205.00 million, additional stores and commercialization charges Rs 112.0 million, advertisement taxes Rs 40 million, trade allowance Rs 30.06 million, animal supplying Rs 11.50 million and other sources Rs 130.16 million.

They further said that KMC would generate Rs 443.94 million through sale of lands, Rs 46.45 million through development charges, thus total income expected to be generated stood at Rs 4883.99 million.-APP
