PESHAWAR: Jamaat-e-Islami (NWFP) has announced full support to country-wide strike call given by trade and business community on Aug 26-27.

The JI provincial Ameer Prof Mohammad Ebrahim Khan in a press release issued here on Friday assured business community of all out support in its current anti-government compaign directed against massive increase in charges of power, gas, telephone services and complicated income tax laws.

Backing the traders demands, Prof Ebrahim strongly condemned record raise in power, gas and telephone charges and called upon the government to withdraw these charges and rescined the complicated income tax procedures which, he thought, forced the traders to go on two day strike.-PPI
