Israelis kill 3 Arabs in Lebanon

JERUSALEM: The Israeli army said on Friday that its troops killed three Arab guerrillas in a clash in south Lebanon on Thursday night in which one Israeli soldier was wounded.

"Three guerrillas were killed last night in a clash between an army force in the eastern sector, north of the security zone, in south Lebanon. During the clash a soldier was wounded," an army statement said.

Israel carved out and occupied the 15 km (nine mile) wide buffer zone in 1985 against guerrillas but from time to time it operates outside the enclave.-Reuter
