ICCI calls for

strike against

traders' death

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) will observe strike on Saturday to mourn the death of a trader's representative Naser Abbasi, who died during an agitation here at the Capital Park on Thursday.

President ICCI Khalid Javed said the offices of the ICCI all the markets and the Industrial Area will remain closed in Islamabad on Saturday.

He also requested the government to hold an enquiry in to the matter and punish the respnsible persons.

Khalid said the Qul of Hafiz Naser Abbasi would be held at Mautmar Alam-e-Islami, Super Market on Saturday at five p.m. and has requsted all the traders to participate in the "Quran Khawani".

The deceased suffered a heart stroke during the traders agitation in front of the Capital Park. He was rushed to the hospital, where he later expired.

He was buried in Bhurban on Friday. His funeral was attended by a large number of traders including President ICCI Khalid Jawed; Leader of Founder Group, Shahid Rashid Butt; former President ICCI, Ch. Mohammad Aslam, Organizing Secretary of Traders Action Committee, Munawar Mughal.-APP
