FAISALABAD: The district Price Control Committee, Faisalabad has decided to refix the prices of commodities of daily use and constituted a special committee to review and submit proposals in this regard.

After a meeting of the Price Control Committee, an official handout, stated that the district administration was committed to fight against adulteration and measures would be taken to completely eliminate this menace from the society.

It was observed that adultery was a curse and elements involved in this practice don't deserve and concession. Commitee asked the people to inform about the dens of adulterators so that legal action could be initiated against them.

Reviewing the price situation, ADC (G) Aziz Ahmad said that patriotic traders should avoid profiteering, hoarding and supply all items of daily use to their brethern at reasonable rates.

ADC (G) also directed the Assistant Commissioners to hold regular meetings of Price Control Committees in their respective sub-division to keep the prices at reasonable level. The magistrates were also asked to ensure regular checking of the Juma bazars to ensure the availability of commodities at concessional rates. Regional Manager Utility Stores Hidayat Ullah Dolla said that 30 stores are supplying items of daily use at subsidized rates.
