CHICAGO: Grain and oilseed exports reported by USDA and private export sources.
WHEAT SALES - The CCC said it bought 51,048 tonnes of U.S. yellow corn for donation to Mozambique, September shipment. It bought 33,048 tonnes from ADM for $131.62 per tonne, FOB Reserve, and 18,000 tonnes from Continental Grain for $131.92 per tonne, FOB Westwego.
- The CCC said it bought 4,200 tonnes of U.S. yellow corn from Vista Trading for donation to Guatemala, September 5-30 shipment, at $130.70 per tonne, FOB Corpus Christi.
WHEAT SALES (cont.) - The Taiwan Flour Mills Association bought 86,000 tonnes U.S. wheat from Mitsui, Continental, Misubishi and Cargill. The first shipment of 26,000 is slated for Sept 10-30, with 19,000 tonnes DNS at $203.40 a tonne and 7,000 HRW at $201.82. Freight was fixed at $32.50 per tonne. The second of 34,000 tonnes was for Sept 10-Oct 10, with 16,700 DNS at $204.90, 10,600 tonnes HRW at $202.55 and 6,700 white wheat at $196.76. Freight was fixed at $31.50. The third of 26,000 tonnes was for Oct 5-Nov 5 shipment, with 15,600 tonnes DNS at $206.00, 5,600 HRW at $204.38 and 4,800 tonnes white wheat at $197.75 a tonne. Freight was fixed at $32.50.
CORN/WHEAT/BARLEY SALE - Italy's Intervention Board (Eima) said it sold 32,061 tonne of durum wheat at last Thursday's tender for 100,000 tonnes, at prices ranging from 140.32 to 180.59 Ecu per tonne. The remaining grain will be offered on Thursday.
CORN/SOYBEAN SALE - Taiwan's Hui Shung group of importers bought a combined shipment of 16,500 tonnes of U.S. corn and 38,000 tonnes of soybeans from Cargill, Taipei traders said. The corn was bought FOB at 77.97 cents over December CBOT futures and soybeans were 74.47 cents over November. Shipment is slated for Nov 1-15 from the PNW.
WHEAT TENDERS - CCC said it tenders August 29 for a total of 140,000 tonnes of U.S. soft white or soft red winter wheat for donation to Bangladesh. A first load of 70,000 tonnes is to be shipped Nov 1-Dec 10, and a second Dec 1-30.
- Sri Lanka was to tender August 22 for 150,000 tonnes of optional origin wheat, exporters said. It seeks FOB offers for 100,000 tonnes of hard red winter/northern spring/dark northern spring wheat, with 50,000 tonnes for Sept 18-26 delivery and 50,000 for Nov 6-15 delivery. It seeks 50,000 tonnes of soft red or white wheat for Oct 16-25 shipment.
WHEAT TENDERS (cont.) - CCC said it would tender August 23 for 20,000 tonnes of U.S. No. 2 or better hard red winter wheat for donation to Armenia, Aug 31-Sept 20 shipment.
- Pakistan was to tender August 22 for 200,000 tonnes of U.S. white wheat, Sep 10-30 shipment.
- CCC said it will tender August 30 for 15,000 tonnes U.S. hard red winter wheat for donation to Ethiopia. The wheat is slated for shipment September 15 to October 15.
- CCC said it would tender August 23 for up to 35,000 tonnes of U.S. No. 2 or better HRW wheat for donation to Georgia, Aug 31-Sept 20 shipment.
CORN TENDERS - The CCC said it was tendering August 23 for 38,800 tonnes of U.S. No. 2 or better yellow corn for donation to Rwanda. The corn is for Sept 15-Oct 10 shipment.
CORN/SORGHUM TENDER - Spain tenders August 24 for 700,000 tonnes of U.S. corn and 120,000 tonnes sorghum, an EU member state official said. Imports must be completed by December 14.
BARLEY/RYE TENDER - The EU will hold a further tender Thursday to supply barley and rye from German intervention stores to Spain and Sardinia, a member state official said. The EU cereals management committee last Thursday refused all bids to supply German intervention rye to Spain.-Reuter
