BD taka ends
higher vs dollar
DHAKA: Bangladesh's taka ended slightly higher at 40.1980/40.1990 to the US dollar compared with the previous close of 40.1990/40.1995 in interbank trading, dealers said.
Dealers said the taka gained as there was an adequate supply of dollars in the market because of increased remittances.
They said the interbank call money rates closed higher at 3.75-4.0 percent against 3.0-3.5 percent previously on increased demand for funds.-Reuter
