LAHORE: A contingent of the National College of Business Administration & Economics students departed for California State University, Long Beach, USA, for onward completion of their MBA degrees.
These students would be completing 51 semester units of graduate-level courses, to be completed over three semesters or two semester and two summer terms spread over a period of 12 months.
Under the agreement between CSULB and NCBA&E each student who completes the MBA programme at National College of Business Administration & Economics with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher, and achieves a score of 500 or better on the graduate management admission test (GMAT) besides retaining a score of 550 or better on the test of English as a foreign language (Toefl) becomes eligible for admission to the international MBA Programme at California State University, Long Beach, without having a CSULB faculty interview.
The California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) was established in 1947 as a state college, the MBA programme at CSULB has been designated to provide each student with optimal flexibility in course selection and scheduling. California State University, Long Beach, offers its students a learning environment based on effective instruction, faculty involvement in scholarly and creative activities, a broad range of academic offerings, a location near the major international business centre of the Pacific Rim and extensive recreational resource.
It is erstwhile to mention at this juncture that the academic collaborative arrangement for the MBA programme between the National College of Business Administration & Economics and the California State University, Long Beach, is overly unique, since National College of Business Administration & Economics is the only institution in Pakistan which on account of its academic intensity, competitiveness, quality of learning and widely acknowleoged repute retains such an exclusive agreement with the California State University, Long Beach, thus giving NCBA&E students an opportunity to acquire internationaly acceptable MBA degree's issued by the California State University, Long Beach, on completion of the 12 months at CSULB, in the least possible time and minimal cost content, thus contributing towards the spread of higher business education in the region.
