PESHAWAR: General Abdul Waheed, Chief of the Army Staff arrived here on Wednesday morning on a two-day visit to the local garrison.

Soon after arrival, General Abdul Waheed visited the Corps Headquarters and met Corps Commander, Lt. Gen Mumtaz Gul in his office and exchanged views on matters of professional significance.

Later, the Chief of the Army Staff also attended briefing on matters pertaining to training and combat worthiness of the troops.

During his two-day stay, General Abdul Waheed will also visit various army units, witness ongoing training activities of the troops besides inaugurating different welfare projects.

Earlier on arrival at the PAF base, General Abdul Waheed was received by Corps Commander, Lt.Gen Mumtaz Gul and other senior officers of the garrison.-APP
