MELBOURNE: The Australian eastern wool market indicator lost another 6.0 cents to 742 cents a kg clean at sales in Sydney and Adelaide, Wool International said.

Most categories fell with 19/21/22/23/24 micron falling 1.0 percent while 23/24m merino skirtings were 4.0 percent dearer.

Wool International said Western Europe and Japan were the main buyers with good support from most sectors of the trade.

Of the 25,694 bales offered, 19 percent was passed in.

Sales continue on Thursday in Sydney, Adelaide and Fremantle with about 39,200 bales on offer.-Reuter
