ISLAMABAD: The old Income Tax Return Form should be revised so that the tax payers can file their returns without undue hardship.

This was stated by President, Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sheikh Muhammad Shabbir in a press statement issued here on Monday.

He said the government should also hold dialogue with the leaders of the business community to solve the problem relating to Income Tax Returns.

The government had introduced excellent policy of Self-Assessment Scheme and Fixed Tax Scheme for the tax payers which has been marred by the unnecessary provisions added to the Form A, Shabbir said.

He said in order to enable the tax payers to pay their dues without any bottlenecks, the Income Tax Returns Form should be made as simple as possible. The simplified procedure would also encourage the tax payers which would result in maximizing the revenue of the government, he added.-APP
