Govt, political
parties urged to
unite, resolve
Karachi issues
KARACHI: Leaders of various political parties at on All Parties Conference held here at residence of President Pakistan Muhajir Rabita Council Nusrat Mirza have urged the Government and other political parties to unite and resolve Karachi issues as this is so essential for sake of democracy and integrity and Pakistan.
According to a press release on Monday the resolutions adopted at the conference high lighted many problems and issues pertaining to Karachi and country over all law and order situations seriously.
Those who attended were Mir Nawaz Khan Marwat and Nawab Yamin of PML, Amin Khattak, Mohammad Farooq Bagash and Karimullah Yousuf Zai of ANP, Nematullah Khan of JI, Abdus Sami Khan and Sher Ali of NPP, Miraj Mohammad Khan of QMA, Mohammad Ahmad Siddique of JUP (Noorani), Ahmed Dara and Nahid Afzal TI, Mohammad Abdul Aziz of Muslim Conference, Rao Javaid Ali of PML(Q), Khawaja Mohammad Ashraf and Azad Bin Haider of Jinnah Muslim League, Mir Riasat Ali, Dr. Salim Youssuf Amanullah Mohammad, Kamil Shaikh and many others.
The leaders demanded of the government for convening a national conference on Karachi issue and if it was not able to do so than opposition may call it.
Immediate holding of local bodies elections was also demanded so that attention of people be diverted and concept of usurpation of their rights may also decrease. They further added that MQM and government should have serious dialogue to restore peace in Karachi.
They warned the people that conspiracy to create ethnic and lingual riots were being hatched and all communication were told to foil such attempts.
They reiterated that efforts to protect rights of all Karachiites will be continued and Government should fulfil its responsibility too in this connections.
They also demanded for return to Karachi of all under trial accused shifted to prisons of interior Sindh.-PPI
