to stop murder

of Mohajir boys

LONDON: Altaf Hussain, founder leader of MQM has cautioned the government that Mohajirs would be justified to resort to a peaceful protest if "the murder of Mohajir's youngsters on the pretext of police encounter was not stopped".

In a statement issued here on Monday and faxed to newspapers, in Karachi, Altaf Hussain severely condemned the "murder of two more MQM activists Ashfaq Rahi and Hameed Gul for which he accused the plice and Rangers". Most of the arrested MQM men have been physically crippled, he added.

Altaf Hussain said the newly recruited "Commando Force comprising of dacoits from interior of Sindh, are responsible for running torture cells and committing brutalities on the Mohajirs arrested during house-house search repeatedly conducted in Mohajir's colonies".

He said, the Mohajir youngsters "are tortured to death in police custody and then their bodies are riddled with bullets to announce their death in police encounter".

He said, the government instead of arresting the responsible is honuoring them with promotions and awards," he charged.-PPI
