DHAKA: The Bangladesh taka closed higher at 40.1950/40.1990 to the dollar compared with 40.1990/40.2000 previously in dull interbank trading, dealers said.

Dealers said the taka gained as there was little demand for the dollar and only few deals were done because of the weekend closing of international market.

The interbank call money rates closed steady at 3.0 percent to 3.5 percent.-Reuter
