RECORDER REPORT

KARACHI: Eight persons including, an ASI, were killed in different incidents of firing and encounters with police in various parts of the city on Sunday.

Altaf Hussain, 32, was killed in firing near last bus stop of 4-J Surjani Town. His body was removed by Edhi ambulance to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

The bullet riddled dead body of an unidentified man was found lying near Sohrab Goth Bridge. It was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Ishtiaq, 26, and Mohammad Jamil were killed in an encounter with police in Mominabad. Police recovered two TT pistols from their possession. Police sources alledged that they were terrorists and members of MQM.

Mohammad Sharif was injured in an encounter with police in Sayeedabad. He was admitted to Civil Hospital.

Three dacoits were killed in an encounter with police in Shadman Town. The dacoits were coming out of a house after committing loot when the police party spotted them and recovered three TT pistols and stolen goods.

Salim, Police ASI was killed in targeted firing in Azizabad. His body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Six armed men hijacked a Durrani Primary School Van with 17 students from North Nazimabad Block-I. At some distance they off-loaded the children and drove away.

Seven armed men raided the house of Murad Bakhsh in Sharafi Goth. They attacked him when he raised an alarm for help.

Three armed men raided the house of Mohammad Nazir in Bilal Colony and fired at him when he resisted them. He was admitted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
