LAHORE: The review of achievements, successes and failures in various sectors of the national economy during the Seventh Five Year Plan 1988-93 is in progress at the appropriate level in the Planning Commission.

According to sources, complete review of the Seventh Plan will be completed in time for publication along with the Annual Plan 1996-97 at the time of presentation of the Federal Budget in June next year.

The sources pointed out that 8th Five Year Plan, which was launched in July last year with one year delay retrospectively from July 93, has just entered third year of its implementation and it would be rather premature to say how its targets are being followed and implemented at the federal and provincial levels though the sources were confident about everything proceeding rather in a satisfactory manner.
