KARACHI: The Karachi Electric Supply Corporation has placed an order for 5703 electricity poles worth over Rs. 53 million with Multipole Industries, a leading pipe manufacturing firm. MPI has been given the contract through Sadat Construction Company.

MPI claims to have modern facilities to produce 36,000 tons of different varieties of pipes per annum.

The firm is also negotiating with Saudi Arabia and Qatar to supply electricity poles to be erected on highways.
