ISLAMABAD: The news report in a section of press regarding no response from six Fata MNAs against the petition filed by free-lance journalist Shahid Orakzai, with the Election Commission that an amount of Rs 10.5 million was paid to Fata members as illegal gratification to support opposition candidate for speakership in the National Assembly was described as totally baseless and incorrect.

According to an official source the six Fata MNAs have already approached the Election Commission and received a copy of the petition filed by the free-lance journalist, the MNAs are now consulting legal experts so as to take legal action against the journalist and all others involved in this plot.

The MNAs termed it a deep conspiracy hatched to defame them and disrupt friendly relationship between them and government.-PPI
