District magistrates order restrictions in Karachi

No public resorts to open after 11 pm,

no pillion riding, no congregating

KARACHI: The District Magistrate Karachi Central has ordered that no place of public resort including marriage hall, marriage lawns etc, shall remain open after 11.00 P.M. in the district of Karachi Central.

Any contravention of this order shall be punishable under section 34-A of Police Act, 1861.

The District Magistrate Central Karachi has under section 144 Cr. P.C. also prohibited any encroachment over Government/KDA/KMC/ Land and lands allotted to various societies/agencies.

This order shall come into force with immediate effect and shall remain in force for a period of 60 (Sixty) days provided/withdrawn earlier.

However, the order shall not apply to private land, the Government land whose possession has already been given by the KDA/KMC/housing societies/Agencies to the individuals/allottee.

The District Magistrate Karachi East, has under section 144 Cr. P.C. prohibited the disposal of garbage/dumping of garbage and cow-dung and their burning on the above locations and on Malir Bund.

This order shall come into force with immediate effect and shall remain in force for a period of two (2) months, provided withdrawn or modified earlier.

District Magistrate, Karachi West has under section 144 Cr, P.C. prohibited pillion riding on motorcycle/scoters within the jurisdiction of District West immediately.

This order shall remain in force for a period of two months unless withdrawn or modified earlier.

This order shall not apply to women and children below the age of 12 years.

The District Magistrate Karachi West has under section 144 Cr. P.C. prohibited assemblies or meeting of five or move persons in a public place for any purpose including raising slogans, carrying play cards, delivering any such speeches which may cause/create hatred amongst various sects/section of people (except religious congregations in Mosques and Imambargah and other Ibadatgahs and joining, forming or taking part in any procession or demonstration except wedding/funeral procession throughout the jurisdiction of District Karachi West.

This order shall not apply to civilian, police or military personnel on duty.

The congregation of any type is prohibited under this order unless prior permission is obtained from the District Magistrate in writing.

This order shall come into force with immediate effect and shall remain inforces for a period of two months unless withdrawn or modified earlier.-APP
