ISLAMABAD: The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) has transferred 8 BS-20 officers of the Customs and Excise Group.

Eleven BS-19 officers of the Customs and Excise Group have been promoted to the next higher scale.

One BS-20 officer of the same group has been promoted to BS-21.

Five notifications were issued on Thursday confirming these transfers and postings.

While CBR sources say these transfers, postings and promotions are routine, they are being seen as part of CBR's recent moves to streamline its tax collection arrangements.

Riaz Ahmad Malik, a BS-20 officer of Customs and Excise Group has been promoted to BS-21 in the Customs and Excise Group and posted as Member (Sales Tax), Central Board of Revenue, Islamabad with immediate effect and until further orders. He has also been allowed to hold the additional charge of the post of Director General, Intelligence and Investigation (C&E), Islamabad with immediate effect and until further orders.

S N H Zaidi, Director General (Enquiries), Central Board of Revenue, Islamabad has been transferred and posted as Director General, Inspection, Training and Audit (C&E), Karachi with immediate effect and until further orders.

Dr Malik Muhammad Younas, Member (Judicial), Central Board of Revenue, Camp Office, Karachi has been allowed to hold the additional charge of the post of Director General (Enquiries), CBR, Islamabad with immediate effect and until further orders.
