Govt criticised for

abondoning B'stan

development projects

KARACHI: National, Provincial and local leaders of Pakistan National Party (PNP) and other political parties paid glowing tributes to late Mir Ghous Baksh Bizenjo founder of PNP at a public meeting held in Gwadur on the occasion of his 5th death anniversary.

Yousuf Musti Khan, Central President of PNP criticised the policies of the PPP government which have driven the country to the brink of disaster.

They were particularly critical of the federal government's policy of abandoning development projects in Balochistan as well as the reckless use of administrative forces instead of political dialogue to resolve the Karachi crisis.

Mir Bizen Bizenjo, former president of PNP, severely cricised the PPP government whose policies are designed for the sole purpose of enriching the ruling elite and perpetuating its rule at the cost of vital interests of the country and its people.

He said that Pakistan has been pushed into "state of total isolation with hardly any reliable friend relations with neighbours are deeply strained.

He assailed the shelving of projects initiated by the previous government such as Gwadur deep sea port and Gwadur-Rato Dero Motorway etc.

Hasil Khan Bizenjo, Secretary General PNP strongly criticised the manner in which the PPP government has deliberately ignored interests of Balochistan and has brushed aside its development needs.

He made a fervent appeal to all demoratic political forces in the country particularly of Balochistan to unite on a single platform in order to be able to effectively promote and project the interests of the people.

Air Marshal (Retd) Asghar Khan, chief of Tehreek-e-Istiqlal lauded the life long struggle of late Bizenjo for democratic rights of the people. He strongly criticised the ruling PPP and opposition PML (N) for betraying the people and plundering the country and called for change of the system instead of change of faces.

Mairaj Mohammad Khan, Chief of Quami Mahaz-e-Azadi criticised policies of the PPP government.

Lal Baksh Rind, Central Leader of Awami Jamhoori Party focused on the political philosophy of Mir Ghous Baksh Bizenjo and recalled the conditions in which Mir Sahib had carried on his mission of creating political awareness in the traditional and backward tribal society of Balochistan. Usman Bloch and Raziq Bugti also addressed the meeting.-PPI
