grain markets

KARACHI: Prices moved both ways on the seed and grain markets on Wednesday where guwar and grams underwent no changes.

The rice sector had only one variation in basmati inferior variety, which dropped Rs. 25 as supplies remained fairly good.

Cereals saw a number of fluctuations in moong imported, moong from China, masoor dal Punjab Urad Burma and wheat Moong imported from Burma, China and urad from Burma scaled up sharply by Rs. 10 and masoor dal Punjab went up Rs. 50. The only dip was seen in wheat which conceded Rs. 3.

On the seed sector, rapeseed climbed down by Rs. 10 and cakes by Rs. 25 but N.T. Sawgin gained Rs. 11 being is short supply lately.

Sugar took a respite after the nearly Rs. 50 rise on Tuesday.
