KARACHI: A two-member delegation of Korangi Association of Trade & Industry, Karachi, comprising S.M. Yahya (Chairman - KATI) and Jahangir Ahmed (Chairman, Communication Committee) called on Capt. Zahir Khan, G.M. Phones (South), on Tuesday (August 15) and discussed with him the telephone problems being faced by the industrialists of Korangi Industrial Area.

The meeting was held in vary cordial atmosphere and Capt. Zahir Khan congratulated the newly elected office bearers of Koranti Association of Trade & Industry.

G.M. (South) informed the delegation that computerized billing system was working effectively and subscriber could have the copy of the bill through his fax on request. He further said that the computerized complaint system would also start functioning soon and the chance of leaving out any complaint of the subscriber would be eliminated.

Khan also informed the delegation that the telephone department was working on a "call receiving system" according to which certain big organizations, who in order to attract their customers wish that a particular call made by the customer is not charged in the bill of the customer but it is charged at the receiving end in the bill of the organization to whom the call is made, would be able to avail the facility on certain specified telephone numbers.

Director Telephones Saeed Ahmed was also present in the meeting.
