The rupee showed a mixed trend against different currencies on the foreign currency exchange counter.

It opened at the overnight closing of Rs. 32.51 and lost one paisa during the day's trading, it closed on Wednesday at Rs. 32.52.

A major downfall was observed in terms of the Pound Sterling which lost 55 paisa follwing the officials downward adjustment of the rupee. The Ductschmark also lost 65 paisa in terms of the rupee.

The rupee remained firm in terms of the other currencies like the Saudi Riyal, UAE dirham, and Indian Rupee.

It lost another two paisa in kerb trading in terms of the US Dollar.
