RECORDER REPORT

KARACHI: World renowned experts on precious stones will be writing a book on Pakistani gems - their characterstics, grades, place of origin.

These gemologists from the United States, namely, Antoinette Matlins, Stuart Matline, who are also the publishers and founder of Gemstone Press, USA, are currently visiting Pakistan for the purpose.

They have arrived here on the invitation of the Pakistan Institute of Intellect and Culture and Asian Gems Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd.

Pakistan, it may be mentioned here, is a highly rich producer of emeralds, sapphires, aquamarine, tourmaline, topaz and other semi precious stones.

The American experts will also be writing on the precious stones found in Afghanistan, Iran, and the Central Asian States.
