on energy
ISLAMABAD: The meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Energy was held here on Tuesday at the Prime Minister's House.
Prime Minister, Benazir Bhutto presided over the meeting. The committee considered five projects in the energy sector in the meeting.
The committee approved Sadkhal Gas Condensate Field Development Project at the cost of Rs. 512 million and Missa Kassawal Oil Field Development Project at the cost of Rs. 758 million. The Cabinet committee on Energy also approved in principle the Pak-Iran Refinery Project which is a joint venture between Pakistan and Iran. The preliminary cost estimates of project will be dollars one billion with the refining capacity of 6 million tons.
The committee directed Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources and Wapda to ensure that arrangements for transfer of Solar Power Stations to Wapda are completed within next four weeks.-APP
