KARACHI: PIA's flight schedule was slightly disturbed on Saturday when one of its Boeing 747 aircraft was grounded for 24 hours due to technical reasons and also because of poor weather conditions particularly in the north of the Country.

An engineering step hit the right wing tip of Boing 747 while the aircraft was being towed at Karachi airport causing slight damage. The aircraft was schedule to operate PK-362 to Islamabad, it was expected to resume operations by Sunday evening.

As a consequence. PIA had to make slight adjustments in its flight schedule. PK 362 of August 12 on the Karachi-Islamabad sector and PK 303 on the Lahore-Karachi sector were cancelled. Passengers of PK 362 were adjusted on PK 752 and PK 318 while passengers of PK 303 were ajusted on PK 473.

A PIA spokesman regretted the inconvenience caused to the passengers and advised them to contact the nearest PIA offices and flight inquiry offices at airports for the revised flight timing.-PPI
