No chance of
heavy rains
in Punjab
LAHORE: There are no chances of heavy rains in the Punjab province during next four days due to temporary break in the Monsoon activity.
"The southeast monsoon incursion from Bay of Bengal has completely creased, resulting in the temporary break in the monsoon activity", said Abdul Majid, Director Regional Meteorological Centre here on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the monsoon through from Indian State of Gujrat (Kathiawar) has moved to the lower Sindh, increasing the chances of light rains over Larkana, Hyderabad and Karachi division and adjoining Balochistan areas during next 24 hours. The seasonal low over Upper Sindh, Southern Punjab and South-Eastern Balochistan seems to be intensified.
Light rains have been reported from some parts of the country during the last 24 hourse as dry but cloudy weather prevailed over other areas.
The downpour gauged by 8.00 a.m. on Sunday is: Lahore (city) and Domel: 1 Millimetre, Lahore (Airport) and Karachi: trace (less than one MM).-APP
