Jordan wants to

export 11 items

to Pakistan

MULTAN: The Jordanian government intends to export 11 items to Pakistan, including pharmaceutical products, paint and emulsion (both for industry and housing), linseed oil, alkaloid resin, acrylic emulsion, gas heaters, cookers, baby strollers, refrigerators and electric appliances, according to the decision taken in the fifth session of Pak-Jordan Joint Economic Commission.

Sources of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs told this correspondent here on Sunday that Pakistan had offered the opportunity for joint ventures in petro-chemical sector as well as independent venture projects in polyethylene (PE) high density and lineal low 70,100,000 metric tons per annum capacity based on ethylene, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polypropylene, polyestyrene, acryline fibre, based on acrylonitills, terphthalic acid (TPA) based on paraxylene, and ethylene glycol.

The sources said that Jordanian and Pakistani firms would contact through chambers of commerce and industry.

Similarly, Jordanian government has offered to Pakistan an opportunity of joint venture projects in leather, dress making, textile, jute and automobile spare parts industry.

The Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs has invited comments and suggestions from the chambers of commerce and industry, latest by August 20.
