to explain new

tax scheme

KARACHI: Income Tax Officers have started a series of meetings with businessmen to create awareness about the broad-based Income Tax Scheme.

These meetings have been started on the instructions of Central Board of Revenue.

In this regard a meeting was held by Assistant Commissioner Income Tax, Circle-9, Zone-B, Ahmed Faizan with the business community belonging to Sarrafa Bazar and its adjoining areas.

The meeting was attended, among others, by President of Karachi Sarrafa Association, Mithadar, Haroon Chand; Vice-President Ayubi and Secretary Marfani.

Faizan explained to the members of Sarrafa Association the salient features of Self-Assessment Scheme, 1995-96 in detail.

The participants raised a number of queries specially with reference to new Income Tax returns and were replied by the Assistant Commissioner.

According to Income Tax sources such meetings with the business community will continue.-APP
