Five killed, many

injured in

firing incidents

KARACHI: Five persons were killed and several others injured in firing incidents in the city on Sunday.

The body of Rashid was recovered from a gunny bag found lying in Liaquatabad; it bore marks of torture and bullets.

A seven year old boy Abdul Waheed was killed in sniper firing in Liaquatabad. His body was removed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

The body of Asma Khan was found lying in Ittehad Town; it bore gun shot wounds.

Salim was killed in a firing incident in Machko area.

Iftikhar was killed in firing in New Karachi.

Shabbir Baloch was injured in sniper firing in Risala police station area, Mujeebur Rehman was injured in a firing incident in North Nazimabad, Basheer was injured in Malir City, Abdul Majeed in Bagdadi, Tofail in Orangi Town and Shabir Ahmed in Malir.

Three armed men kidnapped Javed, sweeper of Pakistan Television when he was returning from duty.

Law enforcement agencies arrested Syed Ismail, Mohammad Asif, Shahid, Mehmood and Maqsood from Baldia for alleged involvement in firing on a police party.
