KARACHI: Karachi police on Sunday arrested 80 persons allegedly involved in different crimes from various parts of the city here and recovered illegal weapons and narcotics from their possessions.

According to police sources those held include; 26 from district South, 13 from East, 12 from West, 18 from Malir and 11 from district Central. 23 of them were arrested for breach of peace whereas 34 were booked for their involvement in different crimes.

Police recovered two pistols, one riffle, a revolver and many rounds from the possession of accused identified as Asif Quddos and Hamid Ali whereas 60 gram of charas and 6 grams of heroin powder was recovered from the possession of accused identified as Jehangir and another one.

Police also claimed to arrest 23 persons from Clifton and Quiddites areas while sighting nude films.

Police registered cases against them and further investigations are under progress.-PPI
