CHICAGO: Grain and oilseed exports reported by USDA and private export sources.

CORN/SOYABEAN SALE: Taiwan's Hu Sheng Group bought a combined shipment of 38,000 tonnes U.S. soyabeans and 16,000 tonnes corn from Zennoh form shipment Sept 21 to Oct 5 from the U.S. Gulf. The soyabeans were FOB 40.50 cents over November CBOT futures. The corn was 42.50 cents over December. Freight was not fixed.

WHEAT TENDER: CCC tenders August 17 for 20,000 tonnes of U.S. hard red winter wheat, 13.5 percent moisture, for donation to Kyrgyzstan. Shipment period is September 10-17.

The EU opened a tender Thursday for the free delivery of 125,000 tonnes of Danish intervention wheat to Caucasus, an EC grain official said.

Algeria's August 7 tender for 75,000 tonnes optional-origin soft wheat is still on, European grain traders said. It is seeking 25,000 tonnes for Sept 1 to 15 shipment and 50,000 for Sept 15 to 30.

Romania state grain trader Romcereal RA said it will offer 500,000 tonnes of milling wheat for sale in a tender on August 15, 300,000 tonnes for Sept-Oct shipment and 200,000 tonnes for Nov-Dec.

Sri Lanka tenders August 22 for 150,000 tonnes of optional origin wheat, exporters said. It seeks FOB offers for 100,000 tonnes of hard red winter/northern spring/dark northern spring wheat, with 50,000 tonnes for Sept 18-26 delivery and 50,000 for Nov 6-15 delivery. It seeks 50,000 tonnes of soft red or white wheat for Oct 16-25 shipment.

CORN TENDER: CCC said it is tendering August 21 for 4,200 no. 2 or better U.S. yellow corn for donation to Guatemala. Shipment is slated for Sept 5-30.

CORN/SORGHUM TENDER: Spain is tendering for 700,000 tonnes of U.S. corn and 120,000 tonnes of sorghum at a reduced duty, an EU member state official said. Offers are due August 24 and imports must be completed by December 14.

WHEAT FLOUR TENDER: The EU opened a tender on Thursday for the free delivery of 46,000 tonnes of wheat flour to the Caucasus, member country officials said. The flour is the equivalent of about 75,000 tonnes of wheat which is likely to be released from Belgian or Austrian intervention stocks.

LENTIL TENDER: Syria said it was offering 4,000 tonnes of lentils, setting Sept 5 as the final date for bids.

MARKET TALK: China has bought 1.2 million tonnes of U.S. corn since Monday....Export traders expect Pakistan to tender for 200,000 tonnes of white wheat by Tuesday, with widespread talk that August purchases may be cancelled....Philippine miller PAFMIL is expected to seek about 110,000 tonnes of northern/dark northern spring wheat or white wheat for remaining Sept/Oct shipments by the first week of September, export sources said....

The number of pigs slaughtered in China in the first half of 1995 was 217 million, up 14.5 percent from the same 1994 period, while the number of live pigs in stock increased by 70 percent to 418 million, Xinhua said....China is not expected to resume exporting corn to Asian markets for some time, USDA said.-Reuter
