PESHAWAR: In all 9 persons including 5 militiamen were killed and 12 other sustained injuries in a clash between Militia forces and workers of Tanzeem Ulema-e-Qabail, Bara in Tehsil Bara, Khyber Agency on Saturday.

The tense situation prevailing for the last few days in Tehsil Bara of Khyber Agency due to road blockade following the arrest of Chief of Tanzeem-e-Ulema-e-Qabail Maulana Abdul Hadi today took an ugly turn when the Militia forces started operation against the Tanzeem activists to reopen the Bara road, blocked by them for the last few days.

In view of the blockade of roads in Bara Tehsil of Khyber Agency since last several days and the build up by the anti-social forces, the political authorities initiated measures for lifting the road blockade. The Frontier Corps personnel started their operation early this morning to remove the obstacles setup by the anti-social elements.-APP
