Gaza closure

JERUSALEM: Israel said on Thursday it was extending its closure of the Palestinian Gaza Strip self-rule enclave to Sunday.

"The closure on the Gaza Strip which was imposed today, Thursday, will continue until Sunday at 4.00 a.m. (0100 GMT)," an army statement said. The army had originally said it would lift the closure, which bars nearly one million Palestinians from Israel, on Thursday.-Reuter
