BOMBAY: Indian cotton prices fell on subdued sentiment caused by a weak trend in the fabric and yarn markets, dealers said.
In spot deals, Punjab saw-ginned shed 25-50 rupees per maund (37.32 kg) to 1,920/1,925 and F-414 suffered a similar loss to 2,300/2,325 rupees per maund.
Gujarat Sankar-4 average was quoted at 19,000 rupees per candy (355.56 kg) and superior at 23,500 rupees per candy.
"The undercurrent of the market was dull as government agencies continued to sell," said a dealer.-Reuter
