C_OPENHAGEN: Danish shares, headed by Novo Nordisk, slipped back during the afternoon in quiet, selective trade.

Novo Nordisk, which soared on a better-than-expected 1995 half-year result in mid-week, sank back to close nine crowns down at 633, but the flagship share was still 26 crowns up on its pre-result level.

The top-20 KFX index closed 0.15 point lower at 102.67, after peaking at noon at over 103, while the KFX September future 0.30 point down at 103.50.

Overall turnover for the day was 648 million crowns. ISS, with first-six month result due next Tuesday, fell three crowns to end the week at 150, on analyst expectations of an average pre-tax profit of 165 million crowns, 30 percent lower than for the interime= 1994 period.

ISS volume was good at 132,000 shares, with Tele Danmark also scoring over 100,000 shares traded to close three crowns down at 298.

Leading banks, their interim results due next Thursday, closed mixed with Den Danske Bank unchanged at 388 and rival Unibank shedding.

Five crowns to finish at 273. Analysts predict good half-year results for the two banks.-Reuter
