CSFB names two executives to top research posts
NEW YORK: Credit Suisse First Boston, one of Wall Street's premier investment banks, on Monday named research executive Stefano Natella as global head of equity research and Al Jackson as chairman of securities research, according to a company memo.
The moves come at a sensitive time for the New York-based bank, which agreed in December to pay $200 million as part of an industrywide settlement with regulators probing alleged stock research misdeeds.
The appointments were announced in a memo sent to employees by CSFB executives Brady Dougan, Brian Finn and Gary Lynch.
Stefano has worked with the firm since 1989 and has held jobs including head of Latin American equity research, head of European research, and most recently, head of European equities.
Jackson will continue to report directly to Gary Lynch, the firm's top lawyer, and will oversee research efforts across equities and fixed income, according to the memo.-Reuters
