Army team seals petrol pump owned by FIA inspector

KARACHI: An Army's special monitoring team on Wednesday sealed Mughal Petroleum Service situated on main Rashid Minhas Road, belonging to FIA Inspector Mirza Masood Alam Baig.

The Army's special monitoring team was headed by Lt. Col. Shahid Mehboob and comprised Capt Tanvir, SDM Sharea Faisal, Director Cantonment, SP East Rukhsar Ahmed, DSP Ali Raza besides Vice-President Railway Housing Society.

Mirza Masood was arrested last month by the Army Monitoring Team after it came to surface that he owns twenty one plots of Railway Housing Society which he had obtained through coercion while carrying out investigations into the Society's affairs.

According to Army Monitoring team sources, the petrol pump is constructed on four plots Ñ each measuring 139 sq yards. Masood Alam had got these plots allotted from Railway Housing Society.

Except for one plot, three other plots were got allotted on fake documents. At market prize, each plot at present is priced at Rs 6.8 million.

In addition, Mirza Masood had illegally occupied 7,000 sq yards of land around the petrol pump. APP
