Netpace competition

begins from 17th

KARACHI: Netpace Systems, a leading software house concentrating on development of web applications on Monday announced the first on-line competition on "developing application service provider (ASP)".

Addressing a press conference at the Karachi Press Club on Monday, M. Asim Rizvi and Mustafa Sultan of Netpace said that the competition will start on March 17 and end on June 5, 2000.The competition will be held in three phases with top prize of Rs. 100,000 and additional prizes totaling Rs. 250,000.

They said that this was the largest ever prize for a software contest in Pakistan. The software contest demonstrates Netpace seriousness in getting the local talent pool focussed on the latest technologies.

They said, "We believe Pakistan has great talent to actively participate and get its due share from the exponentially growing IT industry".
