LMC dept head accused of malpractices

HYDERABAD: The house officers of BDS department, LMC Jamshoro have accused the BDS dept of maladministration and malpractices and alleged that the department was of no use to the house officers and the patients.

Speaking at a news conference at the Hyderabad Press Club here on Saturday evening, Saleem Raza Khawar, Dr Prem Kumar, Dr Mushtaq Ahmed Shaikh and others said that they had despatched written complaints to the authorities concerned about the prevailing state of affairs but without any response.

They said that the BDS department the LMC was the only department in Sindh where even students from other countries were studying but the head of the department was bent upon destroying it. They said that the OPD X-Ray machine was lying out of order for the last four years but it had not been repaired although it would cost only Rs 4000 to 5000.
