'India worst country involved in children abuse'

ISLAMABAD: India is the worst country involved in children abuse where million of children are used for labour and illegal practices, VOA quoted a report of UNICEF as saying.

The situation is serious because no one knows more about the plight of these children and this is hidden behind closed doors, workshops and brothel houses.

It said, the world will have 13 million children who have been orphaned by HIV and AIDS by the end of year 2000.

Most of these children will be of Indian origin because a large number of people in India are suffering from HIV and AIDS, it added.

Executive Director of UNICEF in England David Bull has published this report in London.

He said that perhaps those children were victim of the time. They work for food. They are mainly without parents and their masters exploit them. They also fall into illegal practice.

These lonely children face more and more difficulties in the developing countries. But Bull said that HIV and AIDS are casting destructive effects on these lonely children.

The report said that the problems of these children are international crisis because these children are spread across the globe. APP
