High level Ukraine team coming on 27th

ISLAMABAD: A high-level delegation from Ukraine will arrive here on March 27 to discuss ways and means to further strengthen relations between the two countries in social, economic and cultural fields.

The delegation to be headed by Chairman State Committee for Veteran, Chervonopysky is likely to enter into number of agreements with Pakistan for strengthening bilateral relations.

Ukraine has offered technical support to Pakistan in implementing its plan to further modernise Pakistan Railways, Pakistan Steel and Taxila Heavy Complex.

Letters of intention this connection have already been handed over to the concerned departments, Volodymyr S. Ponomarenko, Charge d'affairs in Ukraine Embassy told said in an interview on Sunday.

The delegation will also hold talks with officials of Pakistan Red Crescent Society, for extending humanitarian assistance including medicines to the poor and deserving people in Pakistan.

It will also seem assistance from Pakistan for recovering of 72 Ukrainian soldiers, who are missing since the Afghan war. APP
