National Drainage Programme discussed

PESHAWAR: Provincial Minister for Irrigation Shamsul Mulk on Saturday chaired a high-level meeting, called to discuss the National Drainage Programme (NDP) in the province.

The meeting held threadbare discussion on the activities being initiated under the programme.

Various factors deterring the desired progress of programme were pin pointed on the occasion and suggestions were put forward for gearing up face work on the projects to make it more beneficial.

The provincial minister directed all the quarters concerned for in time and effective steps to ensure attainment of the goals of the project.

He further asked high-ups of the department to identify the hurdles which were making process of the implementation slow, so as to evolve a comprehensive plan to make the programme a success.ÑAPP
