1500 kg cannabis,

355 kg heroin

ISLAMABAD: The Afghanistan government will incinerate 1,500 kg of cannabis and 355 kg of heroin in the presence of the UN and NGOs on March 7 at Kandhar in an effort to check spread of narcotics in the country.

The international media has been requested by Kandhar Drug Control Unit to come and witness the ceremony of burning the narcotics, said an Afghan Embassy source here.

It said, this amount of drugs has been confiscated by the Afghanistan government recently in its drive against the narcotics.ÑAPP
