Grain markets: prices move both ways

KARACHI: Some business was witnessed on the seed and grain markets on Thursday as leading buyers kept to the sidelines to see prices come down to their psychological level.

On the seed side, rapeseed Dadulane picked up Rs 25 in low activity. Mirpurlane followed the same path and gained Rs 5 and Rs 10.

Among cereals, Moong Punjab better type was up by Rs 25. However, masoor imported superior quality lost Rs 50 due to fresh arrivals. Masoor dal imported inferior type gained Rs 50, but best type remained unchanged in modest trading. Urad Punjab quoted higher at Rs 2,750.

A solo deal struck on the rice sector, where Irri-9 Sindh new fell by Rs 100 and Rs 175 in lacklustre activity.
