Honda launches natural gas generator

KARACHI: Honda Atlas Power Product (Pvt) Ltd., on Thursday launched its first natural gas generator in Pakistan offering variety of modles.

Honda Motor Co of Japan has especially designed this generator for Pakistani market, T. Kimura, cheif executive officer of Honda Atlas Power Product said during his presentation on the occasion.

Later, he told Business Recorder that the company was originally thought of installing generator plants in Paksitan, but the size of the market was too small to proceed with the plan. He said the total size of the market has been 8000-10,000 units a year, of which the Honda generators shares 65 percent.

Another official said that existing market of Honda was also co-shared by some other importers who, what he termed as 'creative import' were misusing the brand name of Honda unscrupulously.

Modestly priced, this next generation of powerful solution is designed to provide uniterrupted and reliable, quality electricity' to meet power needs of an average household, Kimura said. This generator can run all appliances including a 1.5 ton air conditioner.
