CKIA asks governor to abolish electricity inspectors court
RECORDER REPORT
KARACHI: The Council of Karachi's Industrial Associations (CKIA) executive committee has urged the Sindh Governor Azim Daudpota to abolish the court of electricity inspectors as it is a superfluous body and the industrialists do not see any relevance of it with the regularisation of excess load of industries and inspection of industries, etc.
CKIA, Chairman, Farooq Bakaly, has criticised the working of the office of electrical inspector Karachi region and said it was creating unnecessary hurdles in the regularisation of permissible excess load of the industries.
He said electricity inspectors should be facilitators and should guide the industries on how to improve the electrical system in the factories but what the inspectors are doing was contrary to their working.
He said the CKIA executive committee in its meeting held recently had also took a strong exception to presiding of one of the three technical courts by the electricity inspector Karachi region on the ground that it is unnecessarily interfering in the smooth relations and co-ordination between the bulk consumers and KESC.
