CDD to hold series of regional conferences
KARACHI: The Centre for Development and Democracy (CDD), a non-political think tank, has planned a series of regional conferences at Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Quetta and Peshawar on the topic of "Challenges to Pakistan".
This was stated by CDD Chairman Nafees A Siddiqi while addressing a press conference here on Tuesday.
The CDD, he pointed out, has been established to provide guidelines to the decision and policy making institutions whether in or outside the government.
It is already working on issues like good governance, economy revival and devolution of power for which it organised 5 national seminars in Karachi, he said.
He said the country today is standing at a cross road where it cannot afford any error or mistake and keeping in view the regional and play his due role to find out solutions to present day problems.
He said to meet this objective the CDD will be organising its 6th Seminar at Lahore on April 13 at which Kazi Hussain Ahmed and Khurshid Mahmood Qasuri will be the chief guest.
He said the CDD will also hold a session with ANP besides inviting former President Ghulam Ishaq Khan. APP
