KARACHI: The G-77 Chamber of Commerce and Industry has decided to establish a G-77 Foundation.

The decision was taken at the steering committee meeting of G-77 held in Havana, Cuba, from March 21-23, 2000, says an FPCCI press release issued here on Monday.

The meeting was chaired by Boney Katatumba, Chairman, G-77 CCI. A small committee was formed to suggest the modus operandi of the proposed foundation and present a detailed proposal before the steering committee in its next meeting to be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

The steering committee also reviewed the progress on the establishment of G-77 development bank and considered the report on Trade Information Network (TIN) and approved the holding of G-77 joint venture conference in one of the African countries.
